Will someone please explain to me how JK's show goes off the air on the 31st, and 2 days later that awful, disgusting, turd burglar Dave ScamDaliato returns to the Vegas air?

What a sad state of Vegas sports radio.

Kelly has a show worth listening to . Some of these other guys are just a farce . Dave is one and trushel is another . Just listen and laugh , nothing of any value there .

Ive been tracking trushels gang since 8/28/08 amd as a consensus they are up 15.4 units. After paying their fees you are losing money .

Their consensus for this month as of 1/26 they are down 43.55 units. Ouch , double ouch .

for the month
trushel -9.9
crow -10.1
veno -11.6
black -21.2
jay +10.6
er -2.5
cash +3.8
ted -5.7
klein +1.95
otto -1
helmut +2.1

i dont know how these guys stay in business with records like this .

My show will be returning to Las Vegas exactly thirty-five(35) hours after the Leroy's Radio Hour ends.

Please get your facts straight son.

What station, Dave?

The same station I have over two thousand(2000) hours of radio on. The same radio station the Leroy's Sports Hour is currently on now.

My radio show will air Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 10:30am on KLAV 1230AM here in Las Vegas starting February 2, 2009.

Sorry to hear about the Leroy's thing, btw. I didn't listen to the show very often at the new timeslot, but it was avaible on the website archive and it was fun to listen to at times. I'm sure JK will resurface when football season rolls around again next year.

It does kinda bother me that Leroy's feels football is the only sport worth talking about. Didn't they do exactly this same thing last year?

Not exactly. The Leroy's Radio Hour left FOX Sports 1450AM in June of 2008 after over two(2) years because they owed Lotus Broadcasting so much money they did not want Leroy's business anymore unless they settled the bill. Then in a move of total desperation Leroy's came to KLAV 1230AM and decided to try their show at night when people are getting ready for bed because it was the only time slot they could afford to buy.

I am sure most of you know Leroy's is in SERIOUS FINANCIAL TROUBLE and their radio show will NOT be back on the radio in 2009 or for many many years to come.

American Wagering / Leroy's in DEEP trouble with money:

Is that why they can't pay someone the $7 an hour to take bets at Golden Gate?

If they go under, I say good riddance. That place is terrible and easily the worst sportsbetting outfit in Las Vegas.

Only a half-hour? Wow. Who's sponsoring the show this time?

I only need thirty(30) minutes to say what I want to say each day. The days of me doing a three(3) hour daily radio show are long gone(unless someone wants to pay me the big bucks).

The radio show will be sponsored by me(Dave "The MeatMan" Scandaliato), however I do have a few Vegas casinos interested in doing a horse racing deal with me as I have about $10,000 a week in horse racing handle I am looking to put somewhere. If I can't find a Las Vegas casino sponsor I will just keep buying the radio air time myself as I am only paying $25,000 per year to do the show.

$500K a year in handle and you haven't found a place to put it yet?

You Vegas guys really kill me.

This should be fun. I'm giving up watching the second half of "The View" to listen.

Thirty minutes? How do you work in the guy with the flooring, and the guy with the seafood, and the poor Las Vegas real estate guy who, by now, must be working at Foot Locker in the mall, and still have time for Sid's travails?

That's a tight 30 minutes of radio.

Are you kidding me? $500,000 divided by 365 days is less then $1400 per day in horse racing handle. If I can't produce that then I need to get out of the gambling promotion business.

You can't imagine how hard it is to get a casino to do business with you here in Las Vegas. One of these days somebody is going to take a chance on "The MeatMan" and be VERY HAPPY just like my offshore sportsbook advertisers have been for many many years!

Hey Jeff. What's up Cap? Long time no hear.

I am glad to know you will be tuning into my radio show daily starting next Monday. If you ever need anything just let me know?

PS Just so you know the real estate guy LJ Piernas will be a BIG PART of my new radio show. If you saw where I am living for what I am paying you would be SICK!

I misinterpreted. I thought you were saying you were betting $500K a year personally.
Now I need to know why you want to generate money into a parimutuel pool and lose value.

Dave, good luck on your show. But don't be violating the FCC's payola rules on the first day!

Its a shame this happened, I know JK from my days working on the Stardust Line, I still have a hard time believing the Stardust is gone, the Saturday night shows with Seat Williams and the gang, I drove by and saw that uncompleted monstrosity in its place and I almost cried. Going back to the Lee Pete days in the 80's Vegas has always had a great night time show. Hopefully when the economy picks up things will get back to normal, Someone needs to get back on 720 KDWN so the show is heard throughout the western United States.

Yes it is I, Bob The 12 Guage , AKA The Highway DJ, still a DJ in Barstow, worked last Saturday afternoon 12 -6 , the guy who comes on after me came on early and we did our Super bowl picks and a tribute to the Old Stardust Line ( hopefully the PD wasn't listening ) We went on for about 2 minutes breaking down the game Stardust style, sadly I went with The Steelers snaping my streak that goes back to 2001. See the link below Im on every other Saturday afternoon ( off next week) We have a Sporting News Flash that I promo and talk a little sports, but I do miss Seat, Gene, Dave , JK and the rest, good days for all.

I heard you on Leroys so I decied to join this site.

Oh, give me a break.

If Greene and Meatman want to pay for airtime to sell their wares that's one thing. Add vitamins to the angle.

We understand the "pay for shtick" radio angle.

Comparing this to what John Kelly was presenting as legitimate sports gambling content is ludicrous.

What is really cool about Leroy's is that the technical staff has ironed out all the archive issues. I think regular listeners remember those days when the Internet feed was messed up and then the corresponding archive was missing.

Well, no more. Now that the show is off the air, the archiving is still working flawlessly, faithfully recording whatever nonsense is playing on KLAV 1230 AM at 10:00pm. :)

Other than the Leroy's sports hour show, the rest of their programming is wack.

JK's show was really good.
There just wasn't any other show that compared.

Jeff Jones

Not sure that JK's show was good every night. Seven nights is hard to fill. Phone-in shows, the 1983 point guard from New Mexico State, and the former coach of the Salamanders aren't that scintillating radio. JK would probably agree.

But I am sure JK would agree that nothing compared to it in town and why he needs to be back on the air.

Currently, here is the status of Las Vegas sports gambling radio.

1) "I have paid for this airtime and, by God, you need to send me money for my guesses." Worthless.

2) "We are at the corner of Warm Springs and Hell and we have the Sports Director of (No Names Please) with us in front of countless drunks we have given free radio-T-shirts to. Come on by!" That's probably not going to turn out well. Worhtless.

3) "Our show boasts sharp sports talk radio, but most of it really has nothing to do with it. Did you see that goofy brunette on American Idol last night, Shecky?" Worthless.

Yeah, I kinda think we need a John Kelly hosted radio show on the air again.
