This is a hypothetical question.

Let's say there was a prop on Roethlisberger:

Will his completion percentage for the 2009 NFL season be over or under 60%?

Let's say he complets 287 out of 480 passes...for 59.79%. Given that, would you say the Under is the winner? Or would you round 59.79% to 60% (notice no decimals in the prop question) and say it is a push?

I think the correct answer is the Under is the winner, but a friend of mine thinks it should be a push. his rationale (which I think is BS) is that the question is 60% without decimals, thus everything should be rounded to the same level...thus 59.5% would equal 60%

Under should be the winner.

By his logic, he could also argue that the 60% is rounded off to the nearest Ten, so that 56% should also be regarded as a push.

It's a no brainer. Unless rounding is specified in the rules, you use the exact percentage.
