How about a discussion area about Penny Stocks.

Suggestions, Strategies, Tips etc...

We specifically don't want penny stock discussion. I'd rather listen to Stu Feiner's picks.

Real investment topics are welcome.

You will not even allow a single thread discussing it?

Penny stocks are almost invariably pump-and-dump schemes, with no fundamental value. That's not investing, that's rolling dice or preying on the naive.

We won't rule out all low-priced stocks, especially in this market where so much has been beaten into oblivion, but we'll draw the line at trying to jizz up unfounded speculative stories.

Thats what I was referring to. Please correct me if I am wrong but aren't stocks that list for under $5 generally considered Penny Stocks?

I have been following a Medical Imaging company (Merge Technologies MRGE) for about 2 months now. Bought In at 55 cents and is up to 1.25ish. I would be interested in hearing opinions of Low priced stocks that have been knocked down with the current market, such as Ford, GM and such

Merge and its ilk would be OK to discuss, as it used to be a real company, now close to banktrupt.

The definition of penny stock more typically references its original IPO price and heritage of underwriters than where it trades presently. Penny stocks, as a class, are rarely money makers, and are most often no better than semi-fraudulent.
