Thanks to everyone that has come to view and register for our new forum here at Roughing the Punter. We hope this will become your message board of choice.
We will have our first two in-game threads tomorrow for the NFC & AFC Championship games. Scroll to the bottom of the home page for those rooms.
We will also have a Super Bowl Prop forum open for the next two weeks moderated by Prop Man. A great place to visit for all your Prop questions and comments.

Is there any way you can turn off the having to click Quick Reply to use the Quick Reply? I've never seen that functionality on vBulletin before, and it's kind of annoying... Since no one uses threaded view anyway it doesn't really matter what message I'm replying to if I don't want to quote it, and it just adds an unnecessary complication.
Also, default theme ugly enough? I'm sure we can change it in the settings, but again a lot of people either won't think to do it, don't know how, etc. so it'd be nice if the default was a bit more aesthetically pleasing.
EDIT: Actually I don't even see where to change the theme in the CP. I'm sure I can with just modifying the CSS within Firefox or something btu that shouldn't really be necessary. Also maybe turn on images by default for users? I feel like you may get a lot of people with issues not being able to see images and wondering why not realizing they're turned off in the CP.

CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT.
These are our three main goals. Colours and bells come 4th and 5th.
Are we clear? :)

I already like it. The site is fast :)
I'm curious... here's a question for PC and Jon. Is your main goal traffic, followed by advertising? Or just get a bunch of really smart people together? Or something else more sinister?

Jon, my suggestion would be to have a suggestion thread.
Forum looks great, although I like the idea of just being able to use quick reply without having to click something else first.

Sinister? LOL I can't offhand think of any possible sinister motives for opening up an internet forum. Can you give me an example? :)
I really don't have a good answer for you. Jon and I have been kicking around the idea for a long time and finally last month Jon made some moves to get it off the ground (site would never happen without him, it probably would happen without me FWIW). As we talked more it became more and more of a fun project and then it happened. That's about it.

Quick reply is enabled.
Not aesthetically pleasing? I designed it myself! All I was trying to do was to get it to look different enough than Beyond Capping that someone toggling back and forth between forums would know which was which. We use the same software they do (vbulletin) and they pretty much went with the default color scheme so it was up to us to add a splash of color, though we kind of look the Ravens fan site. Perhaps if this takes off we can look into a more professionally done design.
I'll take a look at the images default.

Haha. I'm colorblind and just found out that the Ravens color is purple. Seriously? This is almost as bad as when I heard the LAKErs color was purple. I mean what lake is purple?

Problem solved. Guess it just takes a little time.
I googled it earlier today, and I couldn't find your site listed there.
Tried it just now, and it's the 3rd listing.

Had to get away from le rookie over at fezziksplace. Also, my bj21 membership expired after 8 years. Needed a new forum so hopefully this one makes it. Using my real handle also, retiring all my handles that I use to specifically attack chaperone (fleazzik, darkwing duck, etc etc).

Hi Daringly! Sorry I forgot to respond to this. It's good to have you here. So far the site is fast and I've been very pleased by our hosting company. I hope that continues to be the case as we grow.
Nothing sinister here. Quality followed by traffic, followed by advertising pretty well sums up the thought process at this point.
