Oregon +3 +104. 3 units.
This is retarded.

1-0 +3.12 units.
Like I said, better team at home getting points = retarded. Gotta love the USC brand name. Can't wait to bet Arizona +21.5 against them.

Nice hit....
Nice to see that Fezzik's early assessment of
the Ducks did not deter you. ('7.2 wins and I think
I'm overrating them...')

I remember telling him at the time I didn't see how he could bet UN, but that was mostly a function of their schedule. They are much better than I imagined.
Really wish Arizona wouldn't have gagged at UW, they are the only team left that has a shot against Oregon but the Cats will drop a game somewhere else so the Ducks pretty much have the Pac-10 locked down now. I guess I'm rooting for USC to win out since that is the best shot for two BCS teams from the Pac-10.

Oregon -5 -109
1 unit plays.

Washington State +32.5 +103. 2 units. Cougs are still terrible, but they are being punished for last year. Only one loss this year by 33+, and Zona hasn't beaten anybody by that margin.

Tuel is actually pretty good. He got knocked out of the Oregon game with an injury early. He (or perhaps more broadly, the passing game) has been the big difference this year. Aside from scoring some points, which is nice, they've been able to move the ball avoiding 3 and outs after kickoff returns, thus not giving the other side the ball at midfield over and over like they did last year.
Christ, he looked like Peyton Manning when they played at Cal:
Washington St. Comp Att Yds Pct Y/A Sack YdsL TD Int
J. Tuel 28 42 354 66.7 8.4 5 27 2 0

To be fair though they would have been 40+ point dogs on the road vs. a ranked team last season.

BTW, Cougs win outright vs. UCLA imo.

Would have been a sweet backdoor cover... last year :-)

Guess I didn't weight the "Last game out of state and we don't give a shit" factor heavily enough. Horrible pick. Think they'll be a good play v UCLA though.
I got off Cal as soon as half the OL was announced out with injuries (well that and I hate being long against OSU) - good thing I don't have followers or I'd feel guilty about not updating :) Not much to say about the Ducks, good bet bad result.

Nov. 14:
Arizona -2 -105. 3 units.
Washington State +18 -105. 2 units.
Stanford +11.5 -105. 2 units.
Washington +10 +100. 1 unit.

Oregon State +9.5 +100. 3 stars, 1 star = 33% of bankroll.
The remaining 1% of BR is to move out of this state if OSU loses.

Anybody know a nice place where they have never heard of the Rose Bowl?

And yet USC was -6 in Columbus.
Guess the Buckeyes run of victories over Big 11 chumps (sans Purdue lol) got them back in the public's good graces. Meanwhile all the Quacks did was win the best league in CFB by two full games.

I think I'm actually rooting for Ohio St. (barf in my mouth a little there). I wonder how many people realize the Dux haven't won a Rose Bowl since 1917 or whatever. Would be an epic failure on their part if they don't get this one.

Oregon State -1.5 -115. 2 stars. 7-1 ATS last 8, won last 5 bowl games, nobody cares. Underrated as always.
California -3 -110. 2 stars. Another Pac-10 over MWC play. This isn't last year.
Idaho -109. 1 star.
Ole Miss -3 +100. 1 star.

Oregon is my Ohio St. Just think of it that way. Good news is, I won't actually have to watch the game since I'll be off some place where they don't even know what the Rose Bowl is.

I was only getting at the fact you didn't offer comment - I certainly don't mind somebody who disagrees with me or even thinks I'm a moron, just so long as they say so.
I think there is an argument that the SEC is better than the Pac 10, but I don't think any other league has a leg to stand on, at least at this point. I think the Pac has some very interesting bowl games this year, unlike the much ballyhooed 5-0 romp last year.

Kentucky +7 +103. 2 stars. Clemson sucks.

More degeneracy:
LSU +117. 2 stars.
Oregon -168. 3 stars. Still can't believe this - if "Oregon" were "USC" this line is -10. The Quacks are going to kill these guys.

BYU +2.5 -105. 3 stars (middling the 2 for 20 cents is strong). A "friend" of mine who happens to be staying at the OSU team hotel thinks this is a good bet.

One thing I look forward to each year is the Pac 10 stomping the Big Ten. Oh well. If not for the Lakers, West Coast sports would be an unmitigated disaster instead of being merely a steaming pile.

Glad you noticed the closing line part. I'm like 2-999 beating closers in my life, but I'm making Custer Bucks so I guess it's okay.
And obviously I bet Czech's Buckeye 2h for six units so I pretty much broke even on the Rose Bowl. And my personal portfolio had LSU +2.5 +1xx instead of the ML so yeah, I'm winning BIG.

If the choice is between my least favorite NBA team and least favorite team period riding high or west coast sports being in the shitter, there is no choice at all.
I've already given up hope that a team I like (OSU, Blazers, Seahawks) will win something but at this point I'll take a team I can tolerate (Kings, Warriors, Sharks .. anything).
