As expected, last week I was 2 and 3. Until Week 5, I have less confidence in my picks because I have less to judge from for the current season.

Here is what I like for Week 4 NFL:
Balt + 1: Baltimore is a greatly improved offense and still retains that powerful defense. Last year, Baltimore usually held opponents to no score in the first 1/4, and I expect this to continue from this week forward. In addition, the Baltimore offense has averaged 30 points per game, and this is helping that powerful defense by giving them lots of rest. Take Baltimore on the money line in the first 1/4.

NYG - 9: The Giants still look like the team to beat in the NFL. Each week the receivers improve, and Manning gets more timing down with them. The offensive line play is improved, and Manning is not getting hit as often as last season. The Giants defense continues to rule the field. KC can't score enough to make up for their defense, and that was the expectation at the start of the year. KC won the yardage gained and given against Oakland for their one home game, but lost the game.

SF - 9.5: This is the team which will win the NFL West easily. SF lost a close game last week to an elite team, and it took a great throw coupled with a great catch to beat them. Saint Louis can't score and has a weak defense.

Bal/NE O 45: Baltimore was my pick to win the NFC this year because of the expected improvement in their offense. So far they are averaging 30 points per game, and they will be facing a injured and weak New England defense. New Engalnd was held to 7 points by a greatly improved Jets defense earlier this year, but I believe that this was just a bad game for them. We should see about 20 points from this team, even against the good Baltimore defense.

Cin/Cle O 37.5: Cleveland is a team in trouble on offense, and they need to get this corrected. This being said, they have a history of scoring well against Cincy. Cincy is improved this year on offense, and the weak Cleveland defense does not seem to be up to the challenge of stoping this offense. Cincy will put up 30+ this week, so Cleveland only needs to do just a little on offense to get over the 38 point hump.
